We are currently recruiting for the position Manager of Entertainment Technical for Disney Cruise Line.

You will report to the Cruise Director and shore side Entertainment Production Manager with an average of 4 direct reports.

Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership, training, performance coaching, recognition, and feedback including
documented conversations and coachings to team of direct reports
- Lead the Entertainment Technical staff regarding set-up, operation, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of all show equipment and procedures
- Prepare and communicate schedules, rehearsals, events, and department meetings
- Build and process work orders, purchase requisitions, equipment inventories, show
documentation, maintenance logs, technical documentation, and crew member files
- Facility maintenance in regard to all technical systems, cueing, music/video library, and
product stock levels
- Ensure the adherence to all safety procedures and tracking of technicians' certificates,
safety training, and required HR classes
- Supervise the smooth operation of band load in/out, sound and light checks, and show
performances
- Partner with Marketing/Promotions in planning and execution of promotional activities and
Special Events/Conventions
- Establish and maintain positive relationships and two-way communication with all related
departments
- Effectively communicate with shipboard technicians and shoreside management team


      Basic Qualifications:

        - Minimum five years experience in a technical role within a theatrical operation
        - Previous leadership experience including significant delegation, organization,
        communication, planning and problem solving skills
        - Broad knowledge of Theatrical Scenic, Audio, Lighting, Lasers, Video, Show Control,
        Automation, Rigging and Effects Technology
        - Strong computer programming and operational skills
        - Understanding of the role of Entertainment Creative Management including but not limited to
        show directors, project managers, designers, and choreographers, etc.

      You must:

      • Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
      • Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
      • Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
      • If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations

      Your Responsibilities:

      • Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
      • Complete a pre-employment medical
      • Obtain a criminal background check
      • Bring approved work shoes
