We are currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Merchandise Manager for Disney Cruise Line.

Responsibilities:


Assuming responsibility for the shop’s smooth and effective operation; determine extended hours to meet Guest needs, proper staffing levels; supervise team and perform sales duties. Leading the onboard Merchandise team as well as training and orienting new hires, coaching and developing teams (i.e. Guest service and recovery, product information, security procedures, etc.)

Overseeing selling of ship/island merchandise in fixed and mobile retail locations; product focus could include but is not limited to DCL specialty merchandise, onboard art program, duty free products, jewellery

Comply with set policies and procedures as well as all maritime and ship rules, regulations, and procedures. Conduct emergency duties as specified in the Ship’s Assembly Stations and Emergency Functions Plan.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum three years retail management experience
  • Minimum one year leadership experience
  • Ship and/or duty free experience preferred
  • Analytical business skills
  • Experience and knowledge in fine jewelry, watches, perfume, cosmetics or liquor preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate a passion and strong, ongoing focus towards exceeding Guest satisfaction and sales goals in order to exceed incentive targets which impacts the individual, team and overall department success
  • Basic computer skills
  • Visual and display skill
